Learn Hungarian

Here is a fun chat about Hungarian. The man on the right in this video comes from Hungary. As I think I have mentioned in other posts, Hungarian is a Uralic language, which means it is related to Finnish and Estonian. It is also agglutinative which means that it makes meaning by putting pieces together in a single word to communicate ideas. It is a very cool language.

Here are some useful Hungarian phrases

Welcome – Üdvözlet

Hello – Jó napot kívánok

How are you? – Hogy vagy?

Do you speak English? – Beszél angolul?

Do you speak Hungarian? – Beszél magyarul?

Where’s the toilet? – Hol van a mosdó?
