Silly Linguistics Magazine Issue #100 September 2026
Issue 100 of Silly Linguistics
Wow! 100 issues! I was working on the magazine and then noticed that issue 100 was coming up. Time flies!
I decided to do something special for this issue. This issue is almost double the length of the usual issue. I contact some content creators who make language content and they graciously agreed to make content for the magazine
Here’s a little preview. Nativlang, a language content Youtuber with over 1 million subscribers on Youtube drew a custom comic about the word jaguar just for us. Starkey Comics, seeing as it is issue 100, decided to make a family tree of the descendants of the Indo European words for “hundred”. And Yoïn van Spijk, from Taal aan de wandel wrote a lovely story about the fate of the “th” sound in Germanic languages
Subscribe if you want the whole story!

I wrote a frequently answered question section covering the following questions:
What is the difference between a language and a dialect?
Why do people have accents?
Why are some verbs irregular?
What is the best way to learn a language?
And of course we have our regular contributors too.
I hope you really enjoy this issue
