It is amazing how you can switch two words around and completely change the meaning of the whole song 😀 Also, this video is from a channel where they alter the notes from major to minor or from minor to major, and it completely changes the feeling of the song. Definitely check out this channel if you like such things 🙂
Agglutinative languages form meaning by putting multiple elements into a single large word. Examples of agglutinative languages are Hungarian, Finnish and Xhosa (which is one of the official languages of my country, South Africa). Xhosa is related to Zulu, which is also an official language of South Africa.
The Atlantean languages are spoken on the fictional world of Erd that I created a few years ago. I have developed many languages and dialects as you can see in this chart. Atlaans is the language that I have developed the most, but I have developed the older versions of the language as well.
Here is The Night’s Watch Pledge in Atlaans, Harbour Atlanten, Middle Atlantean and High Atlantean

Night gathers and now my watch begins.
It shall not end until my death.
I shall take no wife.
Hold no lands, father no children.
I shall wear no crowns and win no glory.
I shall live and die at my post.
I am the sword in the darkness.
I am the watcher on the walls.
I am the fire that burns against the cold.
the light that brings the dawn.
the horn that wakes the sleepers.
the shield that guards the realms of men.
I pledge my life and honor to the night’s watch,
for this night and all the nights to come
French was largely influenced by the Celtic language Gaulish which was spoken in France before the Romans arrived. It is also part of the reason French sounds so different to the other Romance languages. Another reason for this is because it was influenced by the Germanic language Franconian which lead to Dutch, Flemish and Afrikaans.
I made this video with an awesome app called ditty. It allows you to type in some text and it generates a video for you. So what I did is write a bunch of pick up lines that I came up with and then generated videos based on pick up lines I came up with. What do you guys think? 😀
A sprachbund are languages that are not descended from the same older language (and thus not genetically related), yet they have affected each other a lot because of their close proximity to each other. There are sprachbunds all over the world as many languages have interact with each other in border areas or where two or more languages are used.
A clitic is something that gets added to a word. A morpheme is a technical term for a word. It is used to define a unit of meaning in a language. Morpheme can be a word but it doesn’t have to be. In agglutinative languages, morphemes are added together into a single word, whereas in analytic languages morphemes tend to be separate words.
Steve the Vagabond was responsible for the Second Great Cheesecake War on Erd, where Atlaans is spoken. It lead to a great migration where Atlanteans left for all corner of the globe. It is the main reason Atlantean is spoken all around the world on Erd.
On these pages I share funny and interesting language content. Check back regularly as I add stuff often.

I love it when people deconstruct sayings like this. We use and hear these expressions all the time and very often we don’t even stop to think about where they come from or how silly they sound. Next time you hear an expression, take a moment to think about what the words actually mean and maybe look up the origin. I am sure it will be an interesting read 🙂
The world Atlaans is spoken in was created by me to have a place where things work slightly differently. There are many people in our world that want to deny the true origin of languages and say silly things like English comes from Hebrew and is the mother of language. Well, I made a world where all languages do come from a single source called Atlantean, which is called Atlaans in one of the Atlantean dialects. #AtlaansConfirmed
