Latin is an interesting case. It is in fact not dead, but has evolved into new forms, such as Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese. But the older form is still around in the works of Roman authors, politicians and other important people. It is undeniably not a living language anymore since it has no native speakers, but it is still having an impact on the world, so it is at the very best undead 😀
